  • Hi Judy, I will try to remember to email you encouraging remarks while you are going on this fantastic trip.  It is a wonderful endeavor and you are an amazing person to go on it!  I wish you all the strength and a safe trip. • Well, Paine-Marshall, that was quite a nice article!  It may even bring in some money from strangers looking for a cause to help out...wouldn't that be lovely?  Go Girl!  See you in Boston.  Lola

  • WOW!  Go Champ!  Sarah

  • I am rooting for you girl! You are a great example of womanhood with your spirit of vitality helpfulness, kindness  and cheerfulness.  I know, that you are busy but please stay in touch. Love ya, girl.  Vera C.

  • Good luck with your bike tour.  Have fun and don’t fall off. Cheers, Cassie

  • Hi Judy, After visiting your website, I realized that I met you last year in Dalhart.  Earlier I had to laugh when you talked about the tailwinds into Dalhart in 2003.  You probably remember the riders at the Dalhart restaurant last year complaining about the terrrible headwinds we had that day. I have been regularly training in headwinds this spring as it has been very windy in Colorado.  I find it easier to ride in the foothills outside Denver than into a 20 mph headwind. Looking forward to meeting you again in St. Joseph, my starting point.  Will be checking on your website in the meantime.  Keep on training and have a great ride in the Western USA. Tom

  • You are one determined lady!  With a hot new bike, I might add. And raising $ for a great cause. While you are riding in the heat, we are trying to sneak a few miles between the torrential rainstorms that have hit the SF Bay Area.  Yes, I need to find a personal trainer willing to ride in the rain!  Ha!  Looking forward to meeting you. Barbara

  • Wow what an article on you. That was a nice piece. I did not know that was your age!!! You look soooo much younger. Thanks for sharing.  Julie S.

  • Great picture [in the article]!  I love it. kjr

  • Best of luck, and BE careful!!! Love, Karen N.

  • Great article Judy. Looking forward seeing you at the wedding. Keep on cycling. Love, Julie L.

  • Thanks for your kind thoughts, and know that the feeling is mutual. We are blessed that the Lord sent you our way, and look forward to serving the Lord together in the days ahead. We just hope that Grand Lake, and Stillwater will always part of your life. We wish you the best in your exciting venture during the coming days. Serving Him Together With You, Jim & JoAnn

  • Hi Judy,  Glad to hear from you.   We were home yesterday from the trip to Horseshoe Bay. Once again, we had fantastic time while we were there at your beautiful condo. We made ourselves at home, enjoying the serenity, beauty and making several trips to attractions like San Antonia, Austin and Johnson city etc. For my sister and her husband, this was their first trip to Texas. They had a great impression of this lovely hill country. For my dad and mom especially my dad, this was the first trip he made after his major illness three years ago. All in all, we had a wonderful memorable trip. Thanks to your generous hospitality.  Have a super wonderful biking trip across the state. We will be looking forward seeing your photo and reading your trip report. Take care, Love, Julie & Alfred

  • My prayers are with you and all the other riders of the tour.  Linda H.

  • That really is a good photo and a great looking group.  Wish I were there.  I really can't imagine the level of effort it takes to bike over all the varying terrains you'll encounter in this trip.  Good luck to all that are on the trip w/you.  Mary K.

  • Well, if you were only going to have one picture, this is the one to have!  You look like a hardy group.  Cheers, and keep on a'bikin'.  Kathy

  • Trust the trip is going well...and being enjoyed!  Blessings, Brent

  • Dear Judy.  Rite now I'm on the trip with Meic Pearse and group of his honor's programme students. They are travelling on the Balkan's and learning about the culture. I think that they are in love with CRO. Will send you some photos when I get home :)   You just keep yourself safe and have lot's of fun!   Lot's of love,  Tea   Ps- will write more after the trip!

  • Hey girl,    Glad to hear from you!   By-the-way, we had a great time at your "little piece of Heaven" at Horseshoe Bay.   We want to come again next year so we will get with you to reserve a spot.    Can't wait to see you. Remember I am praying for you in regard to the situation you asked us to pray with you on.    Love,  Elaine

  • Judy,  Are you through with the big climbs for a while?  Hope the saddle sores
heal up quickly for you. I know you'll do fine.  You are very determined and persistent.  Hang
in there and things will get easier. Regards,  Dana

  • We are all sooo proud of you! Just keep up a good work!    Love,    Tea

  • Judy,   Everything went great!   You take care of yourself and let God bless you every day. I know you will be a blessing to others. What you have is contagious!   Love you,    Elaine

  • Judy.....Great news.  I'm so proud of you!  You really did some awesome training and I'm so glad to hear it has paid off in some very measurable improvements.  You know the more I think about you biking over those mountains, the more impressive it becomes.  I raced Heart Beat 5K yesterday and won a pair of Asics shoes and that was a nice surprise.  Write when you can.  I'm SO PROUD of you and can't wait to see more photos.  This is REALLY A HUGE DEAL in my eyes.    Love You,  Mary K.

  • You look good.........now I see why you really went........all the men.   Will keep you in my prayers.   Barbara

  • Hey there. Have you made it to Winslow. I figure that is about 98 miles from Flag isn't it? 98 miles is just 4 marathons in a row. You used to be able to do those on foot. Now that you have a bike is should be easy. Keep on trucking and no crashing!!! Love ya SP

  • Looks like a large group – have fun! Ken W.

  • Judy, you all are looking great. Hope you are doing well and good luck to you. Stay healthy and cheerful. Love, Vera

  • Feel better, personally I like Advil, but alternating ice and heat can help on soft tissue.  Good luck and fast recovery!  Jacquie

  • Time for you to think about that Tendon more... I am sure the Doc has told you to stop the ride........ don't push the limits...... you don't repair like you were in your 30's........  xoxoxoxoxoxo      Walter

  • I hope your foot is better soon.  Seeing your pictures makes me wish I was in New Mexico. Take care of yourself.  Barbara

  • Hi, Judy.  Sorry to hear about your achilles in your left foot. I hope it is better real soon and you will be able to get back in the “saddle” soon!  On the other hand, it sounds like you have had some fun and met some really nice people. You have done some serious miles – as I said, I would not make it out of the driveway!!!  Praying for you and thank you for the emails – I am proud of you!!!   Gloria T.

  • Judy, what an inspiration you are to me.  We miss seeing you at church but we all are cheering you on and praying for you.  If I ever do grow up, I want to be just like you.  Hang in there and we will see you soon! Martha

  • Dear Judy,  [I've sent you] some pictures from my trip with Meic Pearse. I was able to take a lot of pictures on our coast and national parks. There are sooo many places I would like for you too see! I know that you would like it a lot! I hope that you'll get better soon. You are in our prayers! Tea

  • Hi Judy,  Great to get news from you.  I'm sorry you have a problem with your achilles tendon?  That is usually a mechanics problem.  Has no one been able been able to diagnose root cause.  Are you stretching your calf muscles.  Tight calf muscles can aggravate an achilles tendon problem.  I tend to have a chronic achilles problem in my right leg and the only way to fix it is to stretch, stretch and stretch.  Good luck on the rest of the ride.  Blessings,  Peter

  • Glad to hear from you Judy. Sorry to learn that you are having trouble with your foot. Take care of foot before you can go on biking. I am having problem with my knee. Doctor said that my cartilage was torn and am on anti-inflamatory medicine right now. It is not fun not be able to walk like before or gardening. We are looking forward hearing from you and seeing pictures. Love, Julie & Alfred

  • Hi JPM!  Great photos....love your hair in the red hat!  You look great in your glasses!  Take care of that foot and don't fret...you'll be up on that bike soon!  Lola W.

  • Judy, John gave me the up-date yesterday... know that you are in our thoughts... and we trust that you will feel the healing power of Jesus... and then continue your ride.  All is well here... John and pup are bonding well... ...he's being well taken care of... he might not want to go back home when you return.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.  Love, Sandy G.

  • Loved the photos.  Your moments of triumph are exhilarating to see. Sorry about your achilles.  There seems to be an epidemic of Planter fascia in my running group too.  Hope you are better soon.  It's good to take a little time off to heal and come back for a strong finish.  Love you. Mary K.

  • Judy, YOU are amazing! I love the Cont Divide pic.  Bill and I are cheering for you as we prepare for Christine, our youngest to graduate in two weeks!  Hope all heals!  Thinking of you...Love, Barb

  • Great pictures.  Just got my computer back from shop—still not fixed. Take care of that tendon! Love ya. Sarah

  • Hi Judy,  I'm happy to read that you are back on your bike.  Are you icing down after the ride.  There is nothing better than to reduce any inflammation and stimulate circulation to cure your physical ills.  You are riding through the middle of nowhere when you ride through places like Dalhart.  Wow, what an experience.  Thank you for the offer to buy bring me a T-Shirt.  My friends would probably not appreciate me wearing it or even thinking that they are hookers!!!  LOL.  Keep up the good riding and take care of yourself.  Blessings, Peter

  • Glad to hear you are doing better. Keep upright on the bike!   Dave

  • You are my inspiration.   Elaine

  • I'm delighted that you appear to be recovering... use wisdom... ...push yourself... but don't over do it... ...we miss you...  Sandy

  • I must say, you do not look like a lady in her 60's.  Keep up the good work, and take care of the tendonitis.  Kathy

  • Hi Jude!  Great that you are back on the road again...this whole accomplishment is so FANTASTIC...we are proud of you, girl!!! Keep on keeping on, and on and on.  Go Girl!  Love,  Lola (Dan & Katy)

  • Sorry to hear that you have had some "set-backs" on your trip, but my goodness, congratulations for making the first 1,000 miles!  You're a great testimony to the fact that "getting older aint for sissies!"  You are something else!  We are going to put your 1000 mile picture on the screen this coming Sunday and include you in our morning prayer time!  Keep on keeping on.   Love, Jim & JoAnn

  • Hi.  I hope all is going well.  How is your leg?  I hope that you are still doing OK.  Good Luck. Jenee

  • I will be praying for you, your Achilles tendon and SORE BOTTOM!  Love you, Elaine

  • Sounds like we're both doing some discerning at this point in our lives.  The psychologists say you do that when you have a birthday ending in 0.  I'm turning 66 in July, so I'm way off schedule.  Ride on, Roomie!  kjr

  • Hi Judy,  You have biked more miles since you left than I have in the last 6 months.  Pitiful for me, great for you.  I can understand the jelly legs.  I hope it gets better for you as you move on.  It's easier for the young ones to say that they got stronger as the tour went on.  For us older young ones, it takes more time.  Maybe by the time you get to the East Coast, you'll be in the best shape of your life....or at least I hope so.  Too bad you haven't had much tail wind, but it appears that you have managed to miss the bad weather that has been springing up here and there.  Best wishes for continued safe and happy riding and may your legs and achilles tendon hold up.  Blessings,  Peter

  • Glad to hear from you. Thanks for keeping us up to date about your biking trip. Have a great trip. Love, Julie L.

  • Judy, wow!  Half way across the US.  Even if you’re “going through the motions”  that’s very cool.  Hang in there!  Ken

  • You do look like you dropped a little weight.  With all the exercise you are putting in no wonder. Keep the bike upright.  Dave ...  PS no voodoo doll?

  • Enjoy...Take care.. Walter

  • Hey, 58 miles of hills and heat is pretty darn good!  Ken

  • You all are making some progress.. that is amazing to see how far you have come already. I liked the quotation from the memorial you sent.  Hope that the wind is at your back and the roads are clear.  Do people honk at you all for support?  It must be pretty impressive with your group swooshing down the road in a pack!  Keep the faith.  Karen

  • Glad that you are having fun and moving right along. We are keeping our fingers crossed for you. Take care.  Love, Alfred & Julie

  • Thanks for always dreaming big, and for inspiring others to dream with you.  Keep on pedaling!   Love, Barb and Bill

  • Love the cornfield shot!  Ken W.

  • I have been following many of your daily updates, getting myself prepared for next year.  (or wondering what I missed this year.)  And I thought the Southwest was going to be the hardest part.....All of you are doing soooooo great.  Keep it up.  Barbara

  • Bryan told me that you are riding cross country and should be in our area on June 20th.  I'm hoping to be at a rest stop when you go through so I can say hello!!  Promise...I won't hold you up on riding.  I just thought this would be a great chance to say hello in person.  Will go for now.  Think of you every day and hope your trip is going well.  Joanne

  • We hope your bicycle journey continues to go well.  Love, Lois & John  - Helping Hands Foundation

  • Still have you in my thoughts.  I'm happy to see that you are back on the bike again.  Wishing you flat roads till the end??   Gloria T

  • Perhaps the tour should be east to west???????   I'm following some of the websites just to know what to expect next year.  It's been fun but it would be better in person. Keep pedaling, you're over half way there .  Barbara

  • I am getting a very strong dislike for you----losing 11 lbs.  You don't need to lose any---the next pounds you can lose for me!!   I bet you need and want a rest.  I know you will enjoy your visits with you daughter and friends..  Have a great rest of the trip.   G.

  • So glad to hear from you and that all is well.  Keep riding safely. Karen

  • I am enjoying your updates, God be with you all thru this journey.  I look forward for your return, I see you soon. Blessing to you and everybody else that are doing this journey with you. Celia

  • Thanks for the updates.  I've enjoyed reading about your trip.  Jennifer, Bryce and I spent a few days in your Horseshoe Bay condo over the Memorial day holiday.  It was very nice to get away from the business Houston and relax.  The condo was wonderful and the views were great.  We did a lot of relaxing, reading, hiking and jogging.  Boy, are those hills killers, especially when we're used to the flat lands of The Woodlands.  It appears that you're having a good time.  It's good to see that you're doing well physically.  The picture of you in the cornfields reminds me of growing up in Nebraska.  Take care and keep the pictures coming.  Jeff

  • Loved your photo in the cornfield.  Also the Dream Dreams saying is powerful.   Thanks for the photos and the latest on your trip.  You are Awesome and I know you will make it all the way this year.   LOL.  Mary

  • Hello Scarecrow!  What a cute picture...the corn looks so green and healthy, and, of course, you do too!  This whole thing still just boggles my mind...I can't even imagine doing something like this; but then I haven't been on a bike in years!  Are you having to endure much rain?  Seems like that would be the pits and quite dangerous on slippery roads.  Have there been any accidents yet?  You be extra careful through your "danger zone".  How's the heel?  Love, Lola

  • Judy,   ...sounds like you're flying along on that new bike... and recovered from your a.t. problem... I'm looking forward to hearing of an injury-free completion of the ride...we're proud of you!   Love, Sandy

  • Hang in there, Girlfriend.  You're in my prayers.  Just look at the total raised!  That's enough for several more years!  Pat

  • Have fun in Illinois.  The weather should be a lot cooler than here though.  The humidity is really bad.  I love the pictures and I think you look great.  I mowed the yard and look like I'm about to keel over and there you are looking as cool as a cucumber.  Life just isn't fair...  Take care and keep on keeping on.....  Martha

  • Judy... I've been keeping up with your news... girl you are to be commended ... and you look good too.  :>)    I couldn't have made it 5 miles let alone what you've done.  Know that we are cheering you on from here.  Take care. Barbara

  • We are doing great.  Bet you have lost lbs. again.  Keep riding safely.  See you in Aug.   Karen

  • Looks like you are having a blast.  Wishing you our best of thoughts and prayers. Julie

  • Congrats on the weight lose and on your perseverance through your injury. I just can't imagine the perspective you are getting of the US crossing it on bike.  Love, Mary K.

  • Judy, I am proud of [Denis]. And you...thank you for all you are doing cycling for those blessed students who will receive your scholarships (of which now Denis is one). We are truly grateful. Our prayers go with you as you cycle... Cyndi

    KARNOSCAK EMAIL UPDATE
    JUNE 19, 2006

Today is the day! Denis is graduating from high school! The ceremony is in the evening at 7 PM Greece time (if you would, please pray for us Monday morning your time)! Denis will be giving the speech as Salutatorian. To me, this honor is another beautiful picture of God’s GRACE in his life after a very tough year.

We are now down to the last couple of weeks in Greece before our departure. Our days remain very FULL. Many tasks still to accomplish and many, many goodbyes. I’m so grateful for His presence daily and for all the help he has already brought to us. Please pray specifically for our STRENGTH and JOY in the Lord. We’re trusting Him to hold onto our hearts and minds (and bodies) in these very stretching days.

Please also pray for our days/weeks of re-entry and readjustment to life in the US. Our summer entails more travel to see family, friends and ministry partners. We settle back into our home on Labor Day weekend.

So, we’ll be in touch again on the other side (your side!) of the Atlantic!

    With grateful hearts,
    Cyndi Karnoscak
    CrossLink International Ministries
